Nice

We arrived off the train around lunchtime, so quickly abandoned our bags before heading off to find lunch.
We found a fabulous focaccia shop, and ate our purchases on the beach!

We then went for a pootle around the old town, exploring the different shops that occupied the streets! I even bought a Napole-duck!!

We finished the day with an amazing pizza and awful bottle of rosé on the beach!

We then had a very chilled first full day - Orla headed over to the beach, while I went for a run and did some laundry before joining her in the afternoon!

Taking that downtime! And then we finished the day with a phenomenal Japanese meal.

On our second day in Nice, we started the day with a lovely brunch before heading up to the Colline du Château, the amazing hilltop park with wonderful views over the city.

After my first ice cream of the trip, we then had a little afternoon trip over to Monaco, to explore Monte Carlo!

Arriving into Monaco, we almost immediately hated it! It felt like Disneyland, entirely detached from reality but filled with the super wealthy. 45 minutes later we were more than ready to leave, and ran through the station to make the train back to Nice.

Afterwards, we had a nice walk through the sunset before saying farewell to France with a brilliant meal at a neighborhood bistrot.
