Rotten Romans

Arrived! Dropped our bags in the hostel, and went straight out for lunch. We managed to find a Leon-like pasta place, which was fab! Amazing to watch them preparing our little boxes through the window.

We then wandered over towards the Vatican, which is just a stones throw away from our hostel. 

We had a good walk around the city in the afternoon, swinging by the pantheon and getting a great view over the river!

After some downtime, we headed over to Trastevere for a bite to eaw, catching sight of the Vatican between all the buildings.

We also stopped off at the magical Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, which we had almost entirely to ourselves, along with it's amazing view of the city.

On our way back, we stumbled across a brilliant busking performance, which had attracted quite a crowd. The atmosphere was electric, and it was enormous fun!
